Boston's New Lead Singer

This story demonstrated the power of the Internet at its best. Tom DeCarlo, a credit manager at Home Depot, has loved the band Boston most of his life. In fact, he spends a great deal of his time singing the songs from their CD's.

It turns out that Tom sounds so much like Brad Delp, the Boston lead singer than committed suicide in March of 2007, that most people can't tell them apart. Tom's daughter created this MySpace page of her father's Boston's tunes. This Myspace page turned Tom's life upside down.

Tom Scholz - the founder of Boston heard one of their songs playing on his wife's computer. His wife had found Tom DeCarlo's MySpace page. Scholz thought that this was simply a case of lip syncing. Upon further investigation, Scholz determined that the song was actually being sung by someone other than Brad Delp.

The result, Tom DeCarlo is now the new lead singer of Boston. Dreams do come true!
