DARPA Cheetah Sets Robot Record

It got up to 18mph. For a robot, that is FAST. Note how it flexes and un-flexes its back with with stride much like a real cheetah. The projection is that this robot will be as fast as a real cheetah in a few years.

Steve Jobs Abandoned Mansion

Steve Jobs bought this 17,000 square-foot Woodside CA mansion and lived in it for 10 years. He let it fall into disrepair after 2000 with the thought that he would tear it down and build a new one in its place. Historic preservationists decided otherwise so Mr. Jobs just let the house deteriorate.

NASA Lost Command Code Laptop

NASA admitted to congress that a laptop was stolen last year that contained common codes to the International Space Station.

The unencrypted laptop contained all of the information needed to command and control the International Space Station.
