Summer Showers

These little guys showed up on Monday.

We had a sudden shower this afternoon which turned the area between our patio and  grass into a mini-mote. It is a great place to swim, if you are a duckling. :-)

Cat Wheel

This is awesome. It is a 'Cat Wheel.' It is used to exercise your cat.

I wonder if it comes in cheetah size? Their logo gives me that impression. :-)

Cat Stubbs For Mayor

Let's face it, most politicians only care about the next election. Most are brain donors. This is not the case for Stubbs! He is the mayor of Talkeetna Alaska.

As an aside, he has the highest ratings of any mayor in Alaska :-)

Meet Savanna

This little girl was born on July 22, 2012. Her name is Savannah and she lives at the Cincinnati Zoo.

I have no need for a golf cart but I would sure like to have this. A Batmobile golf cart. How cool is that.

Could this be the best beer ever made? Rogue has partnered with Voodoo Donuts of Portland Oregon to make 'Voodoo Bacon Maple Ale.' How could one put that many great things into a name of a beer? :-)

Harbor The Raccoon

This is a heartwarming story about a raccoon named Harbor. He was rescued by a wildlife rehabilitator named MaryEllen Schoeman. He made a miraculous recovery and shows MaryEllen his appreciation every day.

Smoking Orangutan

This is Toni. He lives at the Taru Jurug Zoo in Indonesia. He learned to smoke from watching zoo guest.

To help him quit the habit, the zoo moved Toni and his mate to a private island. Sort of a smoking vacation if you will. :-)

LEGO Bridge

This bridge in Wuppertal Germany was made to look like LEGO's. I wonder if it comes with the LEGO people? :-)
