Antilles Seaplanes
This is a very cool story that reminds me of the resurrection of Polaroid. In 1936, Grumman aircraft was commissioned to build 10 planes that would become known as the Grumman G-21 Goose. It is famous for being able to land on land or water. By the end of World War II, there were 350 G-21's in existence. Grumman built he plane until 1970 when production ceased.
As one might imagine, spare parts became hard to obtain once production stopped. Dean Franklin of Miami was sole distributor of spare and used parts for the G-21 until 2000 when V.L. Manuel answered a classified add to purchase all of Mr. Franklin's inventory.
Since that time, Mr. Manuel formed Antilles Seaplanes in North Carolina. They are now taking deposits for their new G-21G Super Goose. To build this plane they took the original Grumman blueprints and refined the G-21 to be safer, stronger, lighter, more dependable, easier to maintain.
They rescued a piece of history!

Be Careful Who You Play With
Be careful who you play with, they might have cooties! I am sure that is how Apple is feeling today. This is the worst security breach in Apple history. It was not Apple that exposed customer data but their business partner AT&T.
A group of hackers obtained the email addresses of 114,000 iPad users from a database at AT&T. I would not want to be the head of security at AT&T today! His next job may involve the words 'is this for here or to go?'

How Did We Live Without It?
I wonder how we lived without this for so long? :-) Bacon Vodka is a savory bacon flavor. It’s clean, crisp, and delicious, or so they say.
Ford Dropping Mercury
It seems that the current economic climate has not been kind to the Mercury brand. Ford has decided that all production will cease fourth quarter of 2010.
