Hello

Anyone that has been to the Mara will tell you that this happens all the time. It could certainly freak you out if you weren't expecting it though. :-)

Grand Cayman Sunset - Friday

In Grand Cayman, they call this a Friday sunset. This is by far the most amazing sunset since we have been here. It seems rather fitting given that we return to Cincinnati in the morning.

The Painted Iguana

The Painted Iguana series of statues in Grand Cayman is very similar to the statue programs that you see in cities in the USA. Cincinnati has the pig, Grand Cayman has the iguana. :-)

Grand Cayman - Rum Point

Rum Point Grand Cayman is a great place to visit! It is on the North Shore of Grand Cayman and has some very nice shops and restaurants. Very much worth a visit!

Dude!

This 500 pound turtle reminds me of the turtles from the movie 'Finding Nemo.' :-) Another photo from the Cayman Turtle Farm.

Post Office In Hell

Little known fact - Hell has a post office :-) This particular Hell is in Grand Cayman. Very interesting little tourist trap.

The Lighthouse - Grand Cayman

The Lighthouse was once the beacon for sailors on the South shore of Grand Cayman. It is now a wonderful restaurant.

Grand Cayman - South Shore

Another beautiful day in Grand Cayman. The water here is amazing.

Grand Cayman Sunset

Grand Cayman is beautiful this time of year! Turns out that Grand Cayman's annual Carnival was today. Given that Seven Mile Road is the only road along the West end of the island, we were stuck in traffic for hours. That said, it was a lot of fun. For those of you that have never been to Carnival, it is a blast!

Abandoned Amusement Park

This abandoned amusement park, Spreepark PlanterWald, is located in the heart of Berlin. The photos are both amazing and kind of creepy.

Aloha

Once again, it is time to leave Hawaii for Ohio.

This HICSS conference was the largest ever. I had the fortunate opportunity to spend this afternoon with Allen Lee. His views on the direction of MIS research is very refreshing!

Until next year, Aloha to Maui!

Did I forget to mention that this is my best photo of the week? :-)

Room With A View

You have to love a room with a view. This is the sunset view from our room here in Wailea, Maui. We are here for the HICSS conference. Today it was 80. It was a little colder at home.

I love the view but it looks like I am going to miss going to the Mast Farm this week with my favorite girls, Nia and Sara :-)

The original whale tail :-)

I took this off the coast of Wailea Maui today.

Sunset Through Stained Glass

The Grand Wailea actually has a small church on the property called the 'Seaside Chapel.' It sits close to the beach. It only seats 49 people and is one of the most sought after wedding locations in the world.

I took this photo at sunset through the stained glass window that faces the beach. I must admit, this photo is nothing compared to being there.
