
It looks like U.S. District Court Judge William
Alsup put perhaps the final nail in
Psystar's coffin on Friday. The Judge stated that “
Psystar has violated Apple’s exclusive reproduction right, distribution right, and right to create derivative works.”
Psystar had been violating Apple's OS X copyright by installing it on clones, a clear violation of the terms of use.
The Judge granted Apple's requested summary judgement, which you can believe that
Psystar will never pay given their current financial situation.
The real back story is that there is a rumor that one of the PC manufacturers was funding the entire
Psystar fiasco.
